The sketchup view is rectangular in shape. Often while working on views that have different view ratio like
My SU viewport is 777x584 and I want to render a middle portion of it lets say 500x500. Is there any way I can preview my current view that grays out rest of the model and shows the portion that has to be rendered in bright , (see image)

Have you tried Thomthom's vray toys? There is an aspect view setting with the plugin.
