Plugin Question - Normal face to camera?
-
Hello all,
I was wondering if there is such a plugin that makes all normal faces face towards the camera. I thought I heard of such a plugin before but cannot remember the details.
Your help is much appreciated! -
Hi,
Do you mean a plugin that rotates all faces so that they are "facing" the camera with their "front side", or a plugin that reverses front/back sides so all front sides are facing the camera ? -
Hello,
Yes, I mean a plugin that forces all normal faces to face the camera, not to rotate them but to actually flip them, if necessary, so all normals are towards the camera. -
There are several such tools - I posted a new one just the other day...

Thank you for the quick response TIG. I searched through the recent plugins on the index page but could not find such tool. Could you kindly provide the name of the plugin you are refering too?

This thread has a couple of tools http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=40368&p=357193&hilit=flip#p357193 - TIG-Click2Flip that works on clicked faces and TIG-flipBacks that works on all selected faces...

Hi,
My View-based Face reverser can also be handy. http://rhin.crai.archi.fr/rld/plugin_details.php?id=460
And Tomas Marek's tool too http://rhin.crai.archi.fr/rld/plugin_details.php?id=154 -
Yep, as I said initially - there are loads to choose from
