Cobwebs in selection window
-
i'm using sketchup 8 and i've updated my graphics driver. i'm noticing white lines when i make a selection window.

-
That's probably a graphics driver issue. Try updating your graphics driver and see if that helps. You might also play with the OpenGL settings under SketchUp>Window>Preferences and see if you notice any difference.

What graphics card? This used to be a common problem with Intel motherboard graphics that don't support OpenGL well.

That would probably account for it.

well a friend of mine is running a 10 year old pc with windows xp and pentium 4 with no graphics card as well
and he doesn't have this problem.

If he isn't having that problem, his graphics driver clearly supports OpenGL.
Read the System Requirements on the SketchUp website and compare them to your system.

I had the same problem and I solved by turning the aero off on windows 7. For some reason, weird things happen when you turn on all the windows UI fluffy stuff.
