Me and my Guitar - Youtube videos of me singing and playing
-
Yes, its that time again where I got so bored the other night I sat down and recorded myself playing and singing. Fair warning, none of these are great. None are perfect - I hit the wrong strings all the time, sing the wrong notes/words, etc. But they are decent and I always enjoy making them. I have visions of my kids being able to watch them years from now and remember their dad when he used to have hair.

Some would say that the beauty is in imperfection
I like that watercolor. And that while-my-guitar-gently-weeps stuff -
Hey Chris! Great stuff. You have a good signing voice, I liked the videos. We have to get you set up with a guitar at the next 3D Basecamp
-
thanks for sharing %(#0000BF)[yourself chris], it has been a pleasure to watch you
-
Nice Chris. And I like the painting too.
-
Very nice.
-
Hi Chris,
Your voice and your music is still scalable. I like your songs.
Here the MP3 with a little reverb and chorus.

Nicely done Chris. Now I have to get my Guitar back out as well. It's been a while. I'm back a few decades tho'. James Taylor, Paul Simon, Don McLean. . . .
-
Thats the entertainment sorted for the next basecamp!! In Ireland - right Mike?.....Mike?
-
Thanks Eric, I really enjoy painting watercolor. I don't get to do enough of it.
@Charly, thanks for the enhanced version. I've played around with recording in the past. Reverb and chorus can go along way towards helping soften out a song. My player sped it up about 1.2X faster I think though.
@David definitely get your guitar out. Now you have a nice home to play it in too! Those are all good artists. They were inspiration for most of the artists I listen to today. I like to play Vincent and Castles in the Air by Don Mclean. American Pie is surprisingly difficult to play . I can't quite figure out why though.
And if we have a basecamp in Ireland, I'm there! Can you guys introduce me to Damien Rice while we're there? Thanks!
-
Really enjoyed the songs and your voice. I played them all (Whistle for the Choir three times). Thank you for sharing both you and the songs.
If Basecamp is in Ireland and you'll be singing, I'll be doubly disappointed that I could not afford to go.
If you put these songs (and more) on a CD I'd be glad to buy one. -

Neither can I. But then I only know three chords. . .
