Autocad floating toolbars, and lines flickering
-
I have recently installed windows 7 ultimate 32 bit, updated all my drivers. In autocad 2009, often when i move the crosshair, it flickers which was not the case when I had windows xp.
A similar problem in sketchup was faced by my friend in windows 7 -64 bit edition. What used to happen was that in skechup when you drag a box to make selection, that box used to flick slowly and that was really irritating, the flicker was like this
on....off......on.......off, lol, difficult to explain in words but the time lapse between the flickers used to be like .8 seconds or something.

Since this is an AutoCad related question, you should ask on their support forum.

Try switching off your hardware graphics acceleration, if it is on.
Then perhaps updating your graphics card &/or mouse driver may help. -
I wonder why.

I find the AUGI forums tend to be better watched, but it depends upon what is asked & how much detail you can provide initially.

Rock1,
It has been my ackexperience that the last coupld of versions of Autodesk products are rather fussy with regards to the video driver, especially under Windows 7. I suggest you go to the Adesk site and look for a reference to approved video drivers. While most other apps, including windows do best with the latest drivers - Aurodesk sometimes recommends a driver that is 2 or 3 versions back.
