I have a few other issues to do first, I have a chest freezer that has been modified to hold 6 CPU's and I wanted to get my render farm setup in the garage, all hard wired as well as two 8TB storage stations. I do not have the gumption to do it so I'm awaiting the help of a local geek that has helped me in the past and while he is here drinking beer I'll get him to look at this also.

That cover an older version of FreeNAS that is different from the latest. It does help but it's mentioing stuff I can't find in the newer version

Ok, so I've successfully added an unwanted Dell Optiplex to my home network using FreeNAS7 rather than 8.
It was a breeze under v7 so it good to know I can free up all those external drives around the house and relocate in this system.
