Adding infinite grass on Photoshop as post-production?
-
Hi everybody. Some weeks ago I run across a tutorial on how to add grass to you rendered scene, without losing shadows, etc. It kind ended looking like the old method of Infinite Grass for VRAY (that doesnt work anymore on newer versions).
Anyway, the tutorial talked about using for your glass a SINGLE light green color (not a texture). Then you would render and make some selections in photoshop and replace the light green color with a grass texture... and the shadows over the grass would still be there!
UNFORTUNATELLY, it seems I did not bookmark the tutorial, and now I cant find it anymore!
Does anyone knows this technique? Or knows what tutorial I am talking about?

thats it, thanks a lot!!!
gee, I suck at Google Search... I did some 10 different searches, to no avail.
did you found it through Google or did you have an idea it was from Nomeradona´s blog?

You're welcome, it was pure luck, I knew Nomer have in his blog some featured artists, and great tutorials, so I hit his blog first.
Cheers to Nomer! -
Through out my time using Vray. This has been my favorite tutorial. I use it's method for every exterior render I do.

Awesome! Glad you all are finding my tutorial useful. Many thanks to Nomer for his invaluable blogsite highlighting the work of many cg artists.
Material ID channel is one of the main reasons I keep harping on having a usable vrimage converter. Can't save id channel with exr'sAndy

Hi,
thanks for the special mention. Resources are everywhere. I am blogging everythig particularly those useful things for us as visualisers. I also found out that, there are so many guys who share their stuff to others and and no one knows about them. Together with my tutorials and how others approach visualiser, I am like a treasure hunter. so yeah fell free to look at those treasures from other excellent people like Andy...
