Scaling by a specific percentage
-
Hi Everyone,
I am brand new to Sketchup and I love the program. The scaling tool is great, but is there a way to scale by a specific percentage? Say for example I want to make a compnent EXACTLY twice as big in all directions, or I want to reduce a 100mm sphere to a 10mm sphere. Thanks in advance.

Sean, as with the other tools in SketchUp, you can simply type the scale factor you want. So if you wan't to make something twice as large, start scaling and type 2 followed by the Enter key.

Hi folks.
And to scale in all threee dimensions at once, use a corner handle.
Just ideas.

and I assume most people know this but...
if you scale by -1 then you mirror the object.
