[Req] rotate with chosen angle
-
is it possible to lock a rotation angle in sketchup.
rotation with an angle of 35 degree for example. -
You posted in 'Plugins' so I assume you want a script to do this - although it's not exactly clear what it is you are trying to do...
You can do this by mimicking the Rotate tool's steps for picking points etc to determined the axis of rotation and then use a ;rotation transformation; always to rotate the selected object by your fixed value [like 35 degrees]...
BUT because you can rotate an object using the native Rotate tool and type in any angle you wish why worry about a custom tool with a fixed value ?
I'm not sure about your use of the word 'lock' either ?? -
ok it like in 3DS max tool snap to angle, wen you rotat it alwayse rotate in a lock anglé and you car specefie that angle thats all.
-
So you want to rotate multiple selected instances by a fixed amount...
Try Chris Fullmer's 'Scale and Rotate Multiple' http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=139946#p139946
It has fixed/random options and scaling BUT you could side-step that using 1 to do what you want with the fixed angle you enter - e.g. 35. -
OK i will git it a try.And thank's to you tig for all your amazing script.
