Do you guys know if there is a way to get the 3D models into Sketchup from the great buildings site?

You can download DesignWorkshop Lite and export DW models as DXF. Or some of the models could already posted as DXF (just reading their blurb).

Great Buildings is definitely a massive collection. More than half of the Buildings have drawings attached, unfortunately they are all very small, like the ones from my books.
So what, this is way more reference than I have ever expected to find, I will get a good overview - and when a drawing with more resolution can't be found on the web then hopefully I can purchase a book on that respective architect.

              thanks a lot Dale!

...and then there are even models available, didn't try them yet - guess they need a high dosis of Thomas' cleanup ruby πŸ˜‰
btw, what is a "blurb" Peter?

There are actually a lot of drawings on line. Like these at Columbia University. Or try University of Virginia....Just keep looking.

Blurb: The short description and explanation of the GBO that is offered at the website. I mean I am going by what they wrote on the website, not from looking at the archives myself.
