Upload scenes to Google warehouse
-
Sorry I have searched and did not find an answer.
Can scenes be included in models uploaded to Google 3D warehouse?
Thanks for the help!

Yes, definitely

hmmmm is there any setting I need. I tried it and the scenes did not not travel well....

You shouldn't have to do anything special...see this tutorial by Gaieus on the 3D Warehouse uses scenes to show the steps to model a tiled roof. Is that what you mean by scenes?
-
Yes exactly, thanks! (I tried it a couple of times but it didn't work. I will check my settings, scenes and try again.)
Does the forum have a name for the times you feel like a Homer Simpson for asking dumb questions?

Not for the forum, but of course there is a ruby for that!

If you want to upload scenes (and a "tour") to the 3DWH to be incorporated in GE, that is a bit different from those simple scenes. I have been trying to "push" Google to enable scenes (with associated layers) in the GE models as well (like in this BaseCamp "unconference session" - but if Rich sees this post, he will chime in how many people were interested - especially that Whaat was featuring his later Artisan plugin at the same time)

Thanks for the help!
Dumb me, I was using the "get models" under the file menu. When you import models this way you get just the model. If you go to google warehouse with a web browser and then click "download model" and then click "open in sketchup" you get the scenes.
I did not know that layers that are turned off could be a problem. I will check this out.
thanks again! I think I need the "stupid" ruby mentioned earlier....
