In the first Terminator movie John Connor sent back a man named Kyle Reese to save Sarah. Reese fell in love with Sarah while on his mission, and consequently became John's father! The question is who was John’s original father? It had to be someone else in order for John to be born, grow up and send Reese back in the first place right? One more thing why is his name John Connor and not John Reese?

This has nothing to do with SU but I figured there are some damn intelligent people here and thought what the hell. I say its not possible the movie is flawed but my coworkers will argue with you till they're blue in the face 💚!

They never married so she gave John her last name, she also never disclosed the father on the birth certificate.

As for the fist part, no idea, even immaculate conception would not work.

John sent resistance fighter Kyle Reese to protect her, knowing Kyle and Sarah would later conceive John himself. With foreknowledge from his parents, John fends off Terminator assassination attempts in the second and third films before Judgement Day. In the fourth film, John fights with the Resistance in a post-apocalyptic setting after Skynet has taken over. As the series' central plot heavily involves the concept of time travel, the story of the character is often non-linear and portrays many possible outcomes, for example The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Terminator 3 both continue from the ending of Terminator 2 but are depicted as taking place in alternate timelines.

        Time travel paradox.

Its funny how some people can get so worked up over something as simple as a movie for one thing and second something like time travel thats impossible in the first place or at least to my knowledge it is. The same people ask me all the time over and over the same questions at work about how to calculate something as small as a column height but then can tell you the ends and outs of not yet invented time travel! FUNNY!

Kurt, I have this everyday with my kid, he is a book smart geek that has an answer to everything (sadly he is normally right and I look like an idiot next to his wealth of useless knowledge)

Just last weekend he gave me the low down on 'string theory' which lasted almost 4 frigging hours (I blocked him out most of the time as I was working as he spoke) he then the following day debunked String theory, I admire his dedication to thought and understanding of things that personally I am not qualified to even think about.

When he was nine years old he watched Back to the future, all three, and pestered me with questions, finally he decided that they were so wrong and he will one day make a movie and correct where they went wrong...I give up.
