Moving origin back to end of a board
-
In the table design here, somehow the apron board's origin seems to have ended up 3" from the end of the board. All this means so far is that the texture is uneven (short dark section followed by long lighter section -- the texture is a photograph of oiled wood that is darker at one end). How can I realign the board's origin?

There are two things here...
Move the origin of the piece, by selecting an instance and right-click context-menu 'change-axes' and re click for RGB [XYZ} axes BUT be aware that this might well affect where any other instances of that component are located in your SKP as their origins will each be adjusted similarly! If there's only the one then there's no issue...
Move the origin of the texture, by editing the component and selecting the face with the badly positioned texture and right-click context-menu 'texture' right-click submenu > position and move the texture until it starts at the start.
You do not need to do it for every face - in the Material Browser use the eye-dropper to sample the corrected material and then paint other similar faces with it - the modified UV-mapping will be used on those too... Changes to a component are seen in all instances of it. -
TIG's two suggestions are excellent. I will add that if you've applied the material to the component 'wrapper' instead of the faces, you won't have the option to move the texture as in his second suggestion. My preference is to always apply the materials to faces and not the component 'wrapper' so that I have the option to adjust the material without changing the component axes.
As to the location of the component axes, you may want to move them to make inserting instances easier. This would be especially true if you expect to reuse the component in other models later.
