Photomatch model export
-
Hi all,
I've run into a problem when trying to export a model from SU that has a Photomatch projection on it. On import into Maya, only a single poly surface has any usable UV information, the rest of the model's UVs are garbage. Has anyone else run into this problem? Are there any work-arounds? An alternate solution, and probably a better one, would be to be able to export the camera information used to make the projection, so that it can be re-projected within Maya. Has anyone been able to do that?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Rich,
Depending on the complexity of the model (i.e. on how many faces you need to do this), it can be easier or even worse...
After projecting the photo, exit the PM tool and go to the faces. Right click each face and make the texture unique on each. This should crop the image at the boundary of the face on one hand and make it rectangularly mapped on it on the other.
A lot of renderers have issues with matched photos and this procedure generally helps.
