Incredible photo series by Suren Manvelyan features extremely detailed close-ups of human eyes.

โ€œEvery day we see hundreds of eyes but do not even suspect they have such beautiful structure, like surfaces of unknown planets.โ€

      Wow..that is amazing.

The thing that strikes me the most is the structure of the lense, it seems almost like the eye of an insect.

That was a little creepier than I wish it was....

        But still pretty neat!

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

The lens of the human eye is behind the iris. It appears black in the photos. What you may be referring to is the granular reflection in the lamp highlights. The iris is the colored patterned area surrounding the pupil and is composed of muscle fibers. The pupil is the opening to the lens.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

            Sweet photos!

I wonder what the 'honeycomb'/hexagon texture is that's visible in some of the photos? ...visible in the center-right of this one:

Maybe reflection of the lighting setup?
