Paintbucket tool stuck?

I wanted to make a new color, so I clicked on the color picker at the top, got my color, but now I can't seem to make it go back to the way it is supposed to look with all the boxes of colors.

If I understand you correctly, you can´t revert to default face colors?

if you mean seeing this, click on the brick and then choose 'Colors' from drop down menu
