    Indeed, an incredible model!
I have a question totally unrelated to the model. As I was looking over teh beautiful project, I wondered how you are going to get it to the water?
Is there a method that a ship like that would be launched, the beach is pretty flat.
    Just wondering.

Stephen The whole yard is suppose to be at an angle and she is Tied down from when her keel is laid, when the ship is complete she will slide to the water which is suppose to be behind her ๐Ÿ˜„,like such :

๐Ÿ˜ฒ Is this for the Smithsonian? National Geographic?

Wow. I just learned more about old boats/ships and shipbuilding than I've ever known.

Thanks guys,She is coming together nicely but there is still so much to do,and I cant wait to paint her to her original colours!

6 and 4 pounders added,Coming in at 1200 each there will be 16 of them in total, comes to 19200 polys for the cannons, which I think is abit on the steap side so ill be messing around with them to bring it down abit, each poly saved is multiplied by 16 so ill be optimising to the max.

It's easier to see in the closeups that it IS a low poly model, but damn, it still looks fantastic!

Yes, low poly but there is a reason. Not everything has to be photoreal in the way we are pampered here nowadays with 2-3 really high poly objects in close-ups as standstills and such. Those have their place and this has its own place, too.

And indeed it is fantastic!!! I really enjoy the development presented this way! ๐Ÿ‘

Thanks guys,Ive been itching to build one of these without any regard for poly`s (without being stupid about it of course) but the only use for it would be renders, maybe ill take on a project like that in the future.

All Bolts added,These will be deleted after the baking process, they will leave little black spots on the texture to appear as bolts in game,And the 18ft Cutter boat added,Still not happy with the textures, will play around abit

Well closeup the textures did reveal another story and looked pretty horrible before she was painted,Shes all lined up now ๐Ÿ˜„

Standing Rigging added,Running rig will be minimal as the Game does not support it (hint hint) ,mast fitted perfectly into its step and nothing needed to be adjusted on the decks to straigten it up this time ๐Ÿ˜„
Main boom and Gaff are lying on the deck and will be fitted shortly along with all her spars.
A cutaway render will be posted next time ๐Ÿ˜„ ,Bear in mind that in reality Ships like these were launched when the hull was complete,The armament, masts,Rigging and sails were all done afloat.

Boom and Gaff is in place and rigged, sails are modeled but not textured yet, this is a lenghty proccess, this entire ship was made without any plugins apart from the sails.
