Window opens out of screen. Help!
-
I was beginning to think it was just me.
-
@jim: you had this problem only with shadow window?
-
Yes, it occasionally goes awol. I have not actually had a chance to try my plugin in a "real emergency." It's not a permanent fix, but it just might keep you from having to close and restart SketchUp to find it.
The usual way I fix it is to close and re-open SketchUp - that usually takes care of it. Have no idea why it happens, thoughm, or why it's just that one.
-
I restarted it, I did reset workspace, but the shadow window can not be activated. I click on Window menu entry, but nothing happens. I should see a symbol there if it's opened, right?
-
The menus have 3 states - a check means open, a dash means open but shaded, and no icon means closed.
If it is open, you should see a dash or checkmark.

Well, I do not see anything, no dash, no check and I can click on it until my mouse gets broken... nothing happens
. I can try to reinstall, but if this happened it s sign that a problem is deep inside its guts. Dunno, I have the impression that Su6 was way more stable... I don't know what google did to new versions. -
Did you go and get the plugin at the bottom of his post on this?
-
Well, I don't think the plugin will work since it won't find a window that is not open.
-
Finally caught the Shadow Window bug on video:
It just wont open, and so my plugin will never find a window that isn't open.

Any suggestion?

Jim, that's like my problem with "save animation" that refuses to work on one of my machines. At least you have a "work around". Sometimes I loose minimized windows under the task bar, but those can be found.
