Can you see it?
-
You could still leave it up so others could see its awesomeness.
-
I don't really understand what you are saying about positive or negative. If they appear to pop out or indent? They are very cool nontheless. Keep them coming please.
-
yes, exactly. For instance, if you are myopic you will see it caving in ...
-
Or as in the case of Jim Smith who respond to the post the first, the effect was coming out of his screen.By the way,i appreciated very much your feed back.

One word of caution, don t expect your brain to work in reconstructing the 3d if you are ebriated. The brain part structure responsible for this reconstruction is sleeping.Try again the evening after.

Oh. Well, I see some of it caving in and some of it popping out. In the last picture, the brown spots appear to pop outward for me. Love 'em.

yeah, 1/2 the picture pops out and 1/2 caves..
regardless, i'm seeing the last one opposite of sunoobie.. the brown caves in and the red pops.. -
This is a bit harder for me to see but when you see it, it's one of the nicest. I think the black and white are harder because this one and the other B&W are the hardest for me to see. I can see the other ones almost instantly. Perhaps as a test, you could post the same design both in color and in B&W so we can compare them. Keep up the awesome work.
P.S. I'm still waiting for a tutorial.
-
Yes,good idea,Sketchupnoobie, i will put it righ away!
-
I got it. It is definitely harder though and it took me a while. I think colors really make it easier. I'm not sure why. Maybe because the shades and shadows are easier to recognize in color. It's a shame though, because the white and black ones are really nice.
-
Cool. Apart from the darker spot in the top right, it's pretty easy to see. You got a B&W one of this?

it is up there, the artistic one but no processing!
-
Oh I see it. Ya, I think the colored one is easier to see and stay focused on.
So . . . any ideas on how to make these yet?
-
Ah, O.K. Gotcha'. So this isn't raw SketchUp output?
-
Yep, the last jpeg was 1.5 millions+ polys.SU would have drop dead a longway before any output!

No wonder my sight went almost completely nuts a few years back when I got into these stereogram thingies
Used to mess around with this Katsura software a few years back (Mac OSX only, but there is bound to be loads more out there for Windows too!)
-
But i assure you, this is not stereograms only geometry with eye-brain reconstructing scheme giving back the 3D.A mondial first, first time 2D works is expressing 3D in a credible fashion.
-
Fresh bake...5 millions polys,16 min. (1920X1080)
This one might tax your 3D vision! -

Not much talk from you guys, those render you speechless?
more like..
you've seen one, you've seen them all.maybe try applying the technique to something more useful than 'wow, that's neat' ?
-
Yes. I would like something like this applied to something else. Any ideas? By the way, the last one is nice.
