OK, now I have built my first little log cabin, I am ready to put a roof on it. Looks like I can make a roof all right, but I think I am missing something big about Sketchup.

I am used to working in XYZ planes with discrete values for each of xyz to locate a point in space. Once I have built my roof, how do I tell it to move to the exact location above my round log walls?
