I think a rear view mirror would prevent the driver seeing out the front! This is just another electric gimmick car.

Wait til the Japanese, especially Honda, get their ass in gear and go mass producing these type of cars.

Check out the Honda p-nut for example.

The big advantage of the Smera is when you die you just take the wheels off and dig a hole.

        Cool looking motorbike πŸ˜‰

        What's the safety rating?

I cannot imagine surviving a side impact in that thing.

What's the difference between putting your hand up Dolly Partons blouse or driving that car?

You feel a bigger tit it that thing. πŸ’š

Wonder if he will fit in that?

I still like it even if the safety measures may be questionable, however it has been UE approved. Also the added benefit of having free juice (electricity) to run it makes it more appealing πŸ‘

Along with the €5000 Grant the ESB (Electricity Supply Board) fit a separate (for house meter) charging system! All part of the incentive to get 20% of vehicles to electric power πŸ˜‰

0-60 in 7.7 seconds?? I just don't believe that. It can barely get to 80 mph! absolute bull!

it says 1000Nm of torque?!! my 2 litre turbo has 390Nm, just where are they getting these figures from?!!

                  Oli,

As it's electric the power will be instant unlike engine driven with gearing ratios etc.... So while the 0-60 figure is impressive I imagine the 1000nm of torque is needed for the substantially heavier battery. Considering a new A4 weigh 3000+lbs and this little thing weighs in at 1000+lbs. It balances out.

Still doesn't stop it been sh!t though... πŸ˜’

Nay, its a little beaut! Combustion engines are dinosaurs! It's only a matter of time before EVs become common place with battery tech advances πŸ‘

1000Nm is huge though!! won't it rip the car apart?! haha

I'm not saying electric cars aren't the way forward....but I find the figures a little bit sugar-coated! I would be happy to never buy fuel again....but in a decent sized car! this is way too small IMO, but perfect for inner city I guess.

I would definitely be intreseted in the upcoming diesel/electric hybrids. Best of both I think. One benefit of electric powered cars....they use the same amount of "fuel" no matter how fast you drive them!!

My electric dream is to have one of these electric motorcycles. They have the best power-to-weight ratio of any electric vehicle. Zero-to-30 mph in under two seconds would be fun!
