Select all attached

A triple click on an entity with the Select tool will select all attached. Why not use that?
Or, if you need a keyboard shortcut, Draw something such as a box in the drawing window and select part of it. then you should be able to find Edit/Item/Select/All Connected.

And, you can still set a shortcut for select all connected. But you need to have a face selected when you go into the shortcut manager. If you do not have a face (or edge) selected, then the option to set a shortcut to "all connected" does not appear.

here's a project for those with nothing else to do:
Make multiple instances of the same emoticons move out of sync. I've got no clue.
