Back Edges on SU 8 doesn't seem to work with any of the styles I've downloaded here.
Tried redownloading some styles as originally I had just copied some styles folders from 7 to 8 to start.
      Same result.

Does work with templates I've tweaked from defaults brought over from SU 7.

      Simple Solution?

I think those back edges are much like guidelines which also don't show the raster lines of various line styles are applied. My guess is you aren't doing anything wrong. It's just the way it is. Perhaps it could be a feature request though. You could add it here.

I was just curious as to the grayed out icon, I can easily switch styles if I want that view.

BTW, I wasn't around when you created some of your styles which really help when I find myself too focused on a project.
Pop up the blackboard, back of envelop, etc., smile and hopefully remember to purge regularly.
          Thanks

You can make various styles that would have the back edges displayed. They can't have any of the raster-based edges. As long as you are okay with the basic edge settings, back edges can be used in styles that have watermarks.

I have found that if you have back edges checked on, the setting will be lost if you switch the display styles to transparent. Toggling off the transparency will not reinstate the back edges. To get them again you need to turn them back on in the style's edge settings (or apply a style that has the setting on). I'm guessing this could be a bug. I'll report it to Google.
