Vertex tool question
-
Thom,
I just bought the Vertex tool and my question is that can I use the vertex tool to make a tufted headboard and is it easy? Can you do a simple tutorial for this?thanks,
James -
hm... I think I saw some tutorial here on the forum in regard to that. (not related to VT though - but could still be useful for you?)
From the top of my head, you could make a grid with Sandbox Tools - representing a repeatable area and use the move tool with soft selection to shape the patch.
(I do think the method in the tutorial (I imagine seeing) is a better one though. - lemme see if I can find it.)

@jchau2007 - I've not found the tutorial yet. Maybe it was at another forum. I'm still looking.

[/url]Is this the sort of think you're after? I did this before ThomThom probably even thought of Vertex Tool. His tool might make it easier to do but I haven't tried to do it with that. If this is the sort of thing you're after, I can post a link to the tutorial I did.
