How do you convert a .jpeg file to a .skm file. I have many textures in other programs that I would like to use in sketchup.

You make a new material then edit it to add a texture image, browsing to the jpg/png etc you want.
There are batch material importers posted on the forum that import all images in a selected folder as mew materials - you do have to manually edit the 'tiling' size etc though...
