SIMPLE HELP!!!!

Sounds like a video card problem. The often come with old drivers. Try finding out what video card you have and then download the newest drivers for it. See if that fixes it.
There are also some display options in the SketchUp Preferences that you might play to see if they help fix anything.

How do I find out what kind of video driver I have? This is a borrowed computer and the owner does not know what kind of driver it is.

That left me confused, what is that?

Win+R = keyboard shortcut for "Run"
Type: "dxdiag", click "OK"
Click Display-> Device/Driver

On Windows7 you got some new nifty Win keys. (Win+Left and Win+Right are very nice to create split views)

How do I make sure the driver is up to date? I googled the driver and all that came up was a bunch of world of warcraft forums.

Mostly you just need to find the card type. "nVidia GeForce 8400", "ATI Radeon 7000", "intel graphics 950" are all examples of what that might look like. Once you determine what type of card you have, you go to the maker's website and look for their downloads section. The input your card type and eventually you will get to the drivers download section. Just download and then run it and it should upgrade your drivers.
Then reboot the computer and try SU again to see if it helped.
