I looked at my post, forgot to tell you I liked the model. You have done a good job.
I do a lot of modeling for offshore companies.
You can get rid of the lines, by using the eraser and the control key to hide the lines.

You can go to this web site and watch as an ROV cuts the riser off the BOP.

Chuck Norris could swim down there and crimp the pipe closed with his teeth.

How do I get rid of the lines on top of the gas cylinder? (right hand side of the assembly)
[attachment=0:2dirszvp]<!-- ia0 -->welltreeaux6.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:2dirszvp]Insure bell shaped housing is a group, then rightclick, click soften/smooth edges, then
make sure soften normals is checked and adjust slider.p

This worked well also. (I tested both techniques)
Thanks.

Thanks NOLA. I wanted to add that I have about 30 hours on this one, which was a huge improvement over my first post here, which took me almost 80 hours.
Still learning.
And loving it.

Cool, good job man! Planning on rendering it as well?

Really nice modelling, very clean!
PS Happy Birthday

You should upload to the Warehouse if you have an account

Thanks flipya.
Render? Hmm. No, I hadn't thought about it. I'll probably continue to improve my modeling skills before I start rendering things. I want to work in this field (3D modeling) and I feel I need to be as versatile and efficient as possible before I say "sure, I can do that." So my plan is to first master modeling, then rendering. That way, I'll have a bunch of stuff to render, right?
Thanks rclub24!
