Shape Bender not creating a final entity

Hi. I'm having an issue with Shape bender completing its process. Here's what I'm doing followed by the problem:
- Select a group
- Activate Shape Bender
- Select a straight line on the red axis which brings up "start" and "end" tags
- Select the curve -- the grids appears and the process bar begins ticking off the time until completed at the bottom of page
- The bent object appears properly around the curved line as a green outline preview bend
- Problem: the green outline doesn't become an actual 3D shape. If I click on the screen, the green outline disappears.
I am I doing something wrong?

Hi Jeff, once you get the previes shape looking how you want, just press enter to finalize the process. That will then make a final shape. Hope that helps,
