This thread will be used to publish some tutorials on the Plugin ToolsOnSurface.
See main post and download source at http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=11212#p76625

    1) Drawing shapes 'without' a surface: Although TOS is designed to draw geometry over curved surfaces, it has the capability to also draw without, with 2 situations where there is no surface:

    1. Draw perpendicular to edges
    2. select the default plane when shapes are drawn in the 'empty' space.

This small video illustrates the feature:

    2) FreeHand with and without Surface: TOS includes a Freehand tool allowing to capture contours on a surface (ans also without a surface). Typically, it can be used to draw a contour from a photo or texture which is applied to a surface.
FreeHandOnSurface provides 2 features that can be freely combined during a capture:

    1. Disabling or enabling Sketchup inferenceswhen drawing
    2. Point & Clickfor each point captured or Click & Moveto capture points with a configurable samplingin pixel.

Thanks! Drawing shapes 'without' a surface - I had missed that feature.

Really like the feature of being able to draw shapes perpendicular to edges.
