Animation

Hi All,
I want to have a go at animation. I have a spaceship I have created and want to produce a short animation showing it flying around doing lots of spaceshipy things. Where do I start, what's the best program to use and/or the best plugin to have?

There are ways to do that, but native SU is not animation in that sense. Its more like building a model, then recording what a camera sees as it moves through the model. If you want to film a spaceship moving through a model, you must use a plugin, or another program.
