Questions about Shape Bender

I down loaded shape bender as well as progress bar. Following intstruction from the recent sketch up blog I attempted to bend. Drew the object made sure it was a component. Drew the straight line then the curved.Clicked the component opended shape bender highlited cliked staight line then curved.At screen bottom a progress bar indicates 5%end@ (1-5) but sits and does nothing? What am I doing wrong

Have you got an old version of ComponentSpray installed? That can cause problems - see the main thread for 'ShapeBender'...

I can check but it I do have component spray and it has been downloaded for a few years.

I have SU 7 but prefer using 6 for now. Could that also be a problem

I have SU 7 but am not using becuase of the time consuming effort of moving complex materials files I am running su 6 wich probabaly has the original component spray tool.
How does one update it? -
Alittle more experimentation - by not using the component option and only making into a Group. the conversion went well. On the Sketch up blog it said component or group
