so i have found 2 objects that are amazingly difficult to model!

      1. Motocross Helmet
      2. Drive shaft Yoke

want something to rack your brain? try taking on a modeling of a Shoei or Fox motocross helmet.

want something a bit less frustrating? try a yoke! everytime I get it to look right, its poly count is extremely high!

      just venting

        Really?

        Got any good reference images?

maybe a 'Model this' challenge will bring solutions.

I doubt any attempt under 30 minutes will be close to the below helmet.

          the Shoei VFX-W

30 minutes on the yoke is possible, but to get it looking correctly might take a bit more time.
as for a yoke... more photos if you click on the images.

The 'Model this' challenge is not time restrictive, you can take as much time as needed to get it right, the point is when you do succeed that you share your technique with everyone so that it works like a learning thread.

doh! i was thinking of the speed modeling challenge being the same as the 'Model this' challenge

              thanks for the correction
