Some "Systainers" I modeled for shop project of mine. Thought maybe someone else could put them to good use as well. C & C welcome!

Nice work. Reasonably light models considering the detail. Thanks. Have you done the CT22E yet?

Thanks Dave, I was concerned about the file size -since I definitely tend to over-model things. I haven't thought about doing the CT22, that might be an interesting challenge. I do have a model of the old style MFT table. Way over-modeled, of course. πŸ˜‰
I'll clean it up and post it, if you're interested.

I'd like to see your model of the MFT but I haven't got one of those myself.

In your Systainers I like that you modeled half of the case and flipped it to keep file size down. Good strategy.

It's probably worth pointing out that Lee Valley have started selling the generic versions (ie no Festool logo) of these excellent cases. Not cheap....

Just had a look and you're not kidding. I think I'll keep using cardboard cartons and coffee cans.

Wow. I thought that generic was supposed to =less $$. Those are the same price as Festool charges for theirs. 😲

Here's the MFT 1080 Table, as promised. Had a little more modeling to do. The knobs gave me trouble, that's what took the time.

                      Good job, Brian.

the knobs turned out fine. You'll have to find something else to use them on, too.

Thank you, Dermot. I can't wait to model some more of them. Fortunately for my income, I'm too busy using them to model them right now - and SU for some custom built-ins. πŸ˜„

I know what you mean Brian. I have been really busy doing installations recently and my old laptop died on the modelling and rendering front so I have only been looking at the great models and renders placed on the forum. I really liked the festool stuff and could use it in a future model of my workshop if you have them available for others?

What type of work do you do by the way?

The MFT and systainers are all of the Festool line-up that I've modeled so far, but I'll be happy to post more of them as I get 'em done. I believe Dave had a laundry list... πŸ˜„ I started modeling them with the same idea in mind, a model of my shop -organize work flow, maximize space, etc. Besides just fun that is.
As for work, mostly kitchen & bath remodels, custom woodwork and design whenever I get the opportunity. SU certainly helps me convey what I picture to clients. I gather you're pretty much in the same field?

Brian, it is good that you have work that prevents you from drawing more Festool models. When you get time to work on them more, I think I have a domino I could donate. Not the machine but one of the loose tenons. πŸ˜„

My shop is a mess and I really need to do something with it. I suppose I could use SU to help sort out where things go. I would draw things with the tools put away, though. Your Systainers would make it look like the green and black tools are actually put away. πŸ˜„

Yes I do mainly kitchen/bedroom/home study installations in both new and refurbished homes. Work is getting very very scarce here now and I am hoping that by investing in a new machine and learning to both model and render much better, I will be able to target higher end clients with super cool designs and renders and get more back from the overall package.
