Systainer models

Here's the MFT 1080 Table, as promised. Had a little more modeling to do. The knobs gave me trouble, that's what took the time.

That looks really amazing and very beautiful

Good job, Brian.
the knobs turned out fine. You'll have to find something else to use them on, too.
-
Thanks Manoj and Dave. Now I've got that CT22 in my head... Have to see if I can get it into SU as I get the time. Should be an interesting project.

Good. Then a Domino and a TS55 and a...

Have you guys been peeking into my workshop and listing all my Festool kit - Great modelling Brian - especially on that MFT - looks great. just missing the cut line!!!
Can't wait to see more of your Festool models.

Thank you, Dermot. I can't wait to model some more of them. Fortunately for my income, I'm too busy using them to model them right now - and SU for some custom built-ins.
-
I know what you mean Brian. I have been really busy doing installations recently and my old laptop died on the modelling and rendering front so I have only been looking at the great models and renders placed on the forum. I really liked the festool stuff and could use it in a future model of my workshop if you have them available for others?
What type of work do you do by the way?

The MFT and systainers are all of the Festool line-up that I've modeled so far, but I'll be happy to post more of them as I get 'em done. I believe Dave had a laundry list... I started modeling them with the same idea in mind, a model of my shop -organize work flow, maximize space, etc. Besides just fun that is.
As for work, mostly kitchen & bath remodels, custom woodwork and design whenever I get the opportunity. SU certainly helps me convey what I picture to clients. I gather you're pretty much in the same field? -
Brian, it is good that you have work that prevents you from drawing more Festool models. When you get time to work on them more, I think I have a domino I could donate. Not the machine but one of the loose tenons.
My shop is a mess and I really need to do something with it. I suppose I could use SU to help sort out where things go. I would draw things with the tools put away, though. Your Systainers would make it look like the green and black tools are actually put away.

Yes I do mainly kitchen/bedroom/home study installations in both new and refurbished homes. Work is getting very very scarce here now and I am hoping that by investing in a new machine and learning to both model and render much better, I will be able to target higher end clients with super cool designs and renders and get more back from the overall package.Dave
I recently saw your workshop in LJ forum!! Surprised - yes I was - you have a mind as clear as a bell and are a genius on modelling and teaching SU but you really do need to spend a few days organising that shop!!!!! -
Dermot, it's not me. I'm sure someone else must get in there and mess it up.
I did make some progress this weekend at getting it straightened up. Hopefully I'll be able to make more soon.

I think a relative of that person lives around here...

Good luck with that! I'm working along much the same lines. Last year was pretty tight. No new Festools for me!

I have had to pull my horns in on the woodworking tools but have invested quite a bit in the new pc and software to try and capture the higher end with innovative designs and presentations. I love what earthmover does with his landscaping renders - there is no way his clients walk away once they see his fantastic renders and I hope to do that with my interiors!! Fingers crossed!!
Hopefully next year I can get a whole new set of Festool toys!!!! -
ahha. Nice. They look as good as they do in the shop...and alot less expensive.
