      Hi there,

It is the first time that it happens and I have no idea why.

I have many groups in my Sketchup file and when I "edit group" or "edit component", the rest of the model disappears but the group/component that is active. ❓ ❓

It's kind of cool, by automatically hiding the rest of the model when working on the current geo, but most of the time I need to see the other objects around it.

I'd appreciate if someone knows the cause and how to fix it.

      Thank you,

      _KN

It is nothing broken. It's a normal function which is quite useful sometimes.
Go to View tab/Component edit and uncheck hide rest of model. I recommend experimenting with those, as it may be very useful.

          Hi Marian,

Thanks for your quick reply. Yes, that's "hide rest of model". I don't know how it got checked.

          That's good to know.

          Have a nice day! β˜€

I got that mapped to shortcut V and Hide Similar Components mapped to Shift+C. Use them all the time when modelling. Invaluable.
