I'm looking for good HDRI Environment maps resources. Not skies - but outdoor environments. Roads or large open dirt/sand areas.

We were lucky enough to purchase a spheron camera so we can go set up and take our own HDRI's. Not a cheap camera ($50,000) but is has helped to get many images that just are not out there for sale. Set up is easy you just have to make sure the weather complies for outdoor shots.

Ah - I forgot to check Dosch! They look to have lots of good stuff.
I was looking at hyperfocal earlier - saw a couple that was a "maybe" - but I think Dosch fits much better. -
Dosch offers full collections of all there stuff. They come on big harddrives. We were lucky enough to need to blow through some money left over in the budget and picked up a boat load of stuff from them. It is all high quality stuff.

I concur, Dosch's HDRI's are brilliant, huge, but fantastic.
