Sketchup doesnt work in win7?
-
i recently installed win7 on my laptop. sketchup worked fine in xp, but now whenever i try to save or open or simply start a new model, it freezes up and crashes. can someone help?
-
Works fine on all the Win7 computers I've tried.
My first guess is graphic card driver. What if you turn of Hardware acceleration, does it work then?
Have you downloaded graphic card driver from the manufacturer, or do you use whatever Windows installed?
What graphic card do you have. -
im running it on a d610 (crap/old) but su worked fine before. i am using the model with the x300 card.
su worked fine before win7 and everything other than su works right now.
btw i tried everything in the hardware accelerator. i tried turning off aero. still doesnt work.

Try hardware acceleration, this will indicate if you are having a driver issue...
Windows 7, in my limited experience, does a pretty decent job at going out and finding drivers automatically.
In the case of my video driver, it did find the correct one, but I actually found a slightly new version when I downloaded it manually. Even though your video appears to be working properly, it may be prudent to manually seek out the driver.

I am running SU on a Windows 7 Enterprise build and it works great. Not sure on the issue but I would tend to agree it sounds graphics related. Try going back one or two drivers and see if you can find a more stable solution. We did have to do that.
