      version 7.1.6860
Since loading this version (I think) my materials library has been very slow loading.
      Has a file path changed?
What should I be looking for as the culprit?
      Thank you kindly, CB

Its terribly slow for me too. Drives me nuts. I think others have mentioned it in the past, but no fix has been offered that I know of.

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

I created a "Default" folder in the Materials/Colors folder and moved all the color .skm files in there. Then I created a very minimal color set for the Colors library. Much faster. You could even organize the default colors into folders based on color value, etc.

In general, create several sub-folders with fewer materials in each. The trade-off is more clicking to get to the material you want - but it is still faster than having the entire palette loaded at once.

          Hi

Thanks Chris and Jim. I didn't realise that it was a bug. I will try your idea Jim, sounds like a workaround. Thanks, CB
