"face me" textures?

Hi
does anyone know if "face me" textures exist (or can be made). This means the shape stays the same but the texture rotates towards the viewpoint.
It would be super useful for grass and other small 3d surfaces. In this way it will look much more like an 3d environment. (but won't so complex and memory consuming as physical 3d objects)rodin

Not textures, no. Only Face Me components.
Though render engines like V-Ray has such features.
