Alias Sketch better than SketchUp?

Is the new Alias Sketch for AutoCAD going to be better than Google Sketchup?

I just saw a video and realize autocad came out with such a sketching software. I was quite amaze with it.
Are they going to beat SKP soon?

Cannot say yet as I have not tried it, it does look great and I certainly will try it.

Only one problem, and it's a major one.....Autodesk/AutoCAD.

they don't look like competitors to me.. not even close.

it looks like all of the toolbars are pencil,pens,brushes, colors etc....

Alias Sketch appears to be the legacy with enhancements of Alias Sketchbook that Autodesk purchased from Alias Wavefront, I think. It was a "simple" sketching and painting application sort of like Artrage. It appears that Autodesk took the core program and expanded it to do more stuff.
I have Alias Sketchbook Pro on this TabletPC I am using right now. It does not have orbiting or bezier like warping abilities. That is more like Photoshop CS4, I think.

I like the features and workflow I see in those videos.

Last November I put it on my IT wishlist for this year. So I am hoping to get a copy to play around with soon. It oes look intersting for visualization.
