SketchUp 7 House model

I have begin making house model in 3D MAX but it has taken so long and it has been so many problems on the house model and outside road & plants, so i wonder if Google Sketchup is a good choice? and if there are any guides, one could make a house model in Google SketchUp Pro 7.1
I have tried to follow make a House in 3d max but does not succeed, I have some bad patience for things like this is there any tips I can get?

Go to youtube, search for sketchup, and house.

Excellent choice. This is SketchUp's strong suit.
Try my tutorial for a complete, step-by-step of modeling a carriage house (w/2nd floor apartment, so you do all the bits you'll see in a house). Like SketchUp, the tutorial's free.
