      I have a different problem ...

      I have a high res image for my ground plain but when i export a 3d view from this model it reverts to a low res version of the image even if i set the output at 4000 px wide ...

      Help Please

        SU uses OpenGL to display images and it has limitations. Originally SU would downsample every image to a max. 1024x1024 pixels. Now with SU 7, you can go to "turbo mode" and display images up to 2048x2048 pixels if you set "Use maximum texture size" in Preferences > OpenGL settings. But that still be the ultimate resolution you can get.

        This is only the display SU uses and the image is still of its original resolution so if you use a renderer, it can export in higher resolution.

          If you need to see the full resolution in SU, split the image into smaller tiles of max 1024x1024.
