      Okay things get crazy.

Thanks to Adam (Earthmover) for idea and model, actually originally we were considering this for a 'Model this' πŸ’š

This is a free for all, anything goes, NPR, PR, styles, hand drawing.

There is one catch....there is only one view (I guess you can pan a little up or down, but that's about it before the illusion is lost) πŸ˜„

      Have fun...

          nice modelling mr. solo. XD

i'm a fan of escher and and i couldn't help myself rendering your model of the belvedere. 😎

it still needs a lot of work though.

hope you guys like chocolates. LOL

I love this model, I like this kind of picture!
I think one thing that I could not do is hide the shadows of the pillars, I think it would make a more accurate picture like in the original one.

excellent. i wanted to add people but i didnt think it would look good...but it looks great well done. arch viz style escher haha you just need to balance the blacks and you got a killer image

the model is almost parallel projection (in perspective view) so I reckon if you distort the model you can (almost) match the perspective of the original image. tricky though, I gave up very quickly!

Well its obvious that I don't really like Eschers drawings. So I tried to turn it to a mess. I also tested the SU obj export to blender on this more complicated model. Everything works fine. Imported again to SU as 3ds and exported two 2d SU raw (deferent lighting, transparent background), PPed in photoshop.

Looks like Escher meets Dr. Suess. Maybe you should enter it in the Speed Model Challenge!

Thanks, but here's another one. We need some perspective view but you know the problem. So here's an attempt. Rendered with podium.
