And I know how my stealthy Sketchup works, it will crash for me and not thee.
Hardware issue? What graphic card you got? When did you last update the drivers?

Yes, I think a lot of my problems are caused by my operating system and video card, (e.g. context menu Grey_Out)and now this crash.
I have a NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 with Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2.
I have setting on my desk an upgrade to Windows 7. Just waiting for some down time to upgrade to Windows 7, 64 bit. I will buy another graphic card and more memory.
Thanks for you reply.

This happen to multiple users. Google are aware of it and trying to track down the cause.

Before that, have you ensured you have the latest drivers? Windows7 often uses the same drivers as Vista - sp upgrading to W7 might not help you if you don't update the drivers.

Well, I am going though the update drive routine as we speak. I guess I was a little behind. Right now, I seemed to be trapped into pay for this driver information web sites. So I will update the drives when I get to the right web site, and start experimenting with different settings.
I'll get it figured out, now that I know it is my software or equipment.
However, if between crashes, I now have a chain link that will make a good looking chain with Chris's new script.
Thanks

KenPay for driver updates?
Go straight to nvidia's website and get the driver from there. No other source. -

Go straight to nvidia's website and get the driver from there. No other source.Well, I finally made it to the right site, but there sure are a great many web sites selling "find the driver upgrade" software. They look to be free, but to get anything of use you have to sign up. Took me awhile to separate the sites.
Guess, my main problem was that I have a HP computer and it checks for software upgrades, I took this to mean everything on the computer, but no, I have a couple of drivers that I need to replace, but I am going to wait and upgrade to Windows 7. Then I can start all over.
Again, thanks for you time Thomthom and advice.

What hardware do you have? Have you updated the drivers? Final build of Windows7, or beta/release candidate?
-
I'm running the final windows 7 on a asus g72gx. 2.53 ghz, 500gb harddrive, 1gb nvidia geforce gtx graphic. havent downloaded any drivers. What would they be for?

Drivers are responsible for communicating between your applications and your hardware. If your drivers are bugged, then you might experience any sorts of problems.

what can i do about that?
