      My wish list is:

      1.-Hatch patterns (vector)
2.- Line width and type related by the drwaing scale, or line scale patern according to the Layout scale
3.- Ability to use the same STYLE used in model in to the title block or Layout, make hand rendering or so the block from scrapbook and titleblock
4.- Ability to use any complex style from SketchUp for any pourpose, like parallel plans. Now some complex styles don't work in ortho properly.
5.- Ability to import dwg files (If so, this may be the begining of the end of Autocad use for most of the people who has to use both now).
6.- Use of dimensions in Layout.
      7.- Curved leaders.
8.- Never sell SketchUp and all its components to Autodesk, from all the years I have seen the good software, like Softdesk, LightScape and more ended being sold to Autodesk.

        Nice list.

#7 is here in 2.0 already: Curved leaders. Use the label tool to make your leader. Then hit space, or Tools->Select, and double click on the leader line. Hold done the (PC or Mac) control or option key over the middle of the line. You now have another bezier point. Hold down control / option over this point and drag out the curve controls for this point.

Question on #4: Which styles do you feel don't work in Ortho properly?

#8: I'd like to comment, but I'm sure some lawyer somewhere just stopped breathing.

The styles I think don't work properly is at least wide marker lines, when I try to use in raster mode it appears a black line across the drawing, the same in Hybrid, I had to change it to another style to make it work in vector mode.

About number eight if you want to share something in private here: bravoddb@hotmail.com

I can remember I was working on a construction company where we used to keep every thing in dwg files for the future we said, but now if we want to open an old dwg file will not be possible, so right now, I preffer a software like SketchUp that makes a good job, I meant excelent job, than a software that makes a good job, for the same price but multiplyed by 10; I did some good presentation drawings in SketchUp, and also good construction drawings, If want to make it faster, mm I will buy DoubleCad I can open a SketchUp file and make sections with it, and use elevations and plan viewsWhat else can I need?. If I keep my files for at leats 2 to 3 years, I don't tink I'm going to use them anymore. but I can keep pdf files of them longer.

Hi, an old post I know - but time to reinvigorate it maybe with a version update looming (well here's bring hopeful anyway!). Agree, LO has revolutionized the way I use SU for my commercial business - well done SU team.

            Strongly agree with:
1.-Hatch patterns (vector) - AGREE!!! Patterns such as cross, dot, etc and then other more standard construction hatches like concrete, grass, etc.
5.- Ability to import (AND EXPORT!!) dwg/dxf vector files - please! This would be HUGE!!!!!

            And
            9. -Ability to have layered title block, so that it is fundamentally same on every page, but with ability to change page number (automatic!), scale (automatic!), page title, etc.
            10. -Better dimensioning - it is just a bit 'clunky' and I have problems with the dimensions snapping back to actual page measurements not scale model measurements.
            11. -I don't know if there is anyway that if an ortho scale drawing of a model was dimensioned and labelled, and then it was decided to change the scale, whether all the dimensions and labels would automatically be relocated to work with the new scale (LO sort of manages this already, but not well, and its usually easier just to start again).

There are plenty of others. Any sneaky whispers on pending updates?

OK, now that LayOut 3 is out, you'll find DWG/DXF export. It's a first version and not free of bugs, but please try and give us feedback.

Some of the things like (9) - auto page numbering: you could encourage us to do ruby API in LayOut, and that's probably how that and man other features will get implemented.

I'd encourage anyone who'd like to contribute: NOW IS THE TIME! We just shipped LayOut 3.0, and we've opened up a Moderator page to take your LayOut Next Version ideas at https://www.google.com/moderator/#16/e=24a7a or find it off of our blog page http://sketchupdate.blogspot.com/

Yes, auto-numbering wuld be awesome (including the possibility NOT to number page 1 or the front/cover page). But definitely opening LO to plugins would be the ultimate solution.

I have been browsing those "wishes" and once back home, I will try to add a thing or two if they are not listed yet. (Like the ability to embed video files both in presentation mode and pdf export)
                😉

                Gai...

                  Hi
I upgraded to SU8 and LO3 the day it came out - and thanks for including many of our requests! Page numbering still missing though!
                  Cheers
