Missing Edges when copypasting?
-
Okay, I've been aware of a certain problem after using Sketchup for a while (IIRC, I've only encountered this after getting SU7.
Whenever I copypaste a model, be it using CtrlC/CtrlV or Ctrl + Move Tool, sometimes the pasted model would have some missing edges or lines on it. I've yet to find the cause of this problem, but it can be seriously annoying at times (I usually do half-a-something, and flip a copy to make it symmetrical).
A workaround I find is just undoing one step, which does not undo "until" pre-pasting, however, it restores the missing edges on the "pasted" model.
Are there any fixes to this? Sometimes I forget to check the model for missing edges until it's really too late, and is forced to redraw the edges one by one. Interestingly enough, the geometry previously created by the edges are retained. o.O
Thanks,
Fong

Do you paste into a model where those lines are on a layer that's hidden?

When you do that - do you make the one half into a component and then mirror the copy?
