Eric (Boofredlay) modeled this building for a client that apparently never proceeded with the project, I mentioned in another thread that I never get much opertunities to render such building so Eric mailed this one to play with.

I changed a few textures, added a landscape, ecosystem, atmosphere and then rendered in Vue.

    Hope y'all like it.

Very nice! I love the inviting color tones that are consistent throughout the render. I hope the render was done at high tide. πŸ˜„

very very beautiful!!!!! the harmony of all the subtle shades of colors is just amazing!!!

Questions- how long is the rendering time in Vue for something like 1280x960 size?? is the preview real-time for all the atmospheric effects?

s this all rendered with vue or have you done some post pro work in photoshop aswell? I would also be interested to know how long a render like that takes. Nice shot anyway and that bent palm tree is quality in the background lol.

                      Thanks guys.

Adam, Yeah the tide is in πŸ˜’ , I used displacement on the ocean and it displaced a little higher than I expected.

Trillium, I usually render at a 16:9 ratio (1600 x 900) and I render normally under 30 minutes, yes all atmospheres are real-time preview.

                      Sketchup-fan, I use Vue 7.4 Infinite.

Oliver, no real reason, this is just a quick illustration, lot's of mistakes and things I'd do differently the next time.

Liam, NO post work except for border and logo, the atmosphere, tones and color are all Vue. The original render is 1600 x 900 and rendered in about 20 minutes, the spectral atmosphere and visible sun through clouds slowed it down a little.

Have to say I'm glad that ugly stucco tower didn't get built! Vue seems quite impressive; the sky/clouds atmosphere are instantly believable. The palms have a somewhat 2d look to them, but overall very nice.

That definately proves that vue can be used in this sort of application. Great job

Great lighting and environment as usual! This might be a fun model to render in a portrait view to emphasize the height.

A great landscape, waiting for a big bang.... could be a solution to this pollution. But great lighting as usual pete. πŸ‘
