      hi..

following the sculpt tools discussion it occurred i never actually asked this long standing question:

that milestone of plugins called FFD (free form deformation), must be one of the most powerful tools in the sketchup arsenal - only i wished it could work on a selection as well and not just on groups.. similar to the smoove tool

most of the great rubies work with groups (fredoscale, subsmooth etc) - however Fredo's JPP doesn't..

is an FFD on bare geometry, something achievable in practical theory?

Something similar at functions of "Subdivide" of Blender or "T-Splines" of Rhinoceros, working it multiplies faces, but lack of accuracy...

Does FFD work with proxy geometry? I have not used I don't think. If it uses proxy, that makes it considerably more difficult to make work on non-grouped geometry I would imagine.

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

… I DID make another tool for sculpt tools that I wasn't originally planning on adding to it's release. It works by grabbing geometry, and dragging. The visuals weren't perfect though. It would work just like a soft radius move tool if strength was set to 100.
            In use…
            …After use.
… Maybe I should include it after all.
