I have this DA account and will upload an art piece. http://omagrandmother.deviantart.com/gallery/
I am newbie at this program so will not be very special. but I will try my best.
now Question: if someone looks my gallery DA is it possible to do the abstracts in 3d? I currently do them 2d program but wish to work more advanced. (ie the one I call rejoice)
ciao OMA (german for grandmother)

Hi Oma,
Well, this particular "announcement" is basically for hand drawn (not computer) graphics.
As for your 2D images - there are some which could be made more or less easily in 3D while other would definitely need some more experience (and maybe some even other applications than SU).

*How do I participate?
To join in on this event is simple - as simple as picking up a pencil (or mouse) and drawing. However, the most important part is sharing your art with the world.*

it was done at about midnight last night ,in the doodle thing'a'majing on the yahoo messenger .

Thanks, I like it. And true that we see hand drawn graphics here so rarely. -
I tried, this is a lighthouse from Northern Michigan.
With a perspective problem.

That's not a perspective problem...it's a "unique perspective" that only your hand/eye combination could create. Don't belittle your ability relish it's uniqueness. I think it's great. Have a look at some early American dutch rural paintings of farm buildings, I can't remember the painters name right now but your drawing reminds me of his work. His work is famous and his style is what separated him from all the other painters more interested in creating "photographic" paintings. The thing about beauty is that just like in nature nothing is perfect and if it is we hold no emotional value in it, however if artwork represents a human imperfect characteristic it reminds us of ourselves and we then care for it in a more emotional way.

Thank you for the kind words. It feels odd to draw by hand after using SU for so long. I had to resist trying to push and pull things or draw them the way SU would. There is something to imperfections.

Thanks for posting your drawings. Nice to see the hand drawings and doodles.

To draw by computer seems too much like work for Sunday, because I do that the rest of the week. Can't scan until I go to the office Monday though.
