Transitions in a pool

BTW Pete, why didn't you "challenge" the SDS tutorial contest?
I mean with so much "experience" in organic modelling, you could probably have made some really nice examples. -
SDS ?
For the endpoint, I think I have the solution, I put the axis (green/blue/red..) where I want to my endpoint go to link. Then I can move it.
I created a group can push BUD en X/Y fonction on SSB but not skin.
I changed ratio and pressure on test 5-1.
I think I m not enough patient.....or "brilliant"

SDS = Subdivide and smooth, IMO the best way to achieve this and can be pretty accurate if you get your proxy right.
Csaba, regarding the competition, there are a few reasons, one, I had some work come in that took a lot of my time, and as you know doing a good tutorial does take time and especially if I did one, the expectations would have been much higher. So I guess I was scared to fail and never had the time to succeed.

I saw too Deform Plugin discussion that would be great too, but it doesn't exist.

Well, according to Dale, there were no crowds taking part unfortunately.

What deform plugin do you mean?

SSB does indeed needs some patience until you get the hang of it. Don't get distracted or discouraged by the initial lack of immediate success.

There is a version 6 there now for you.
for what ?
Gaieus you helped me a lot by pointing my mistakes; I will try again to achieve the project to understand SSB. I am sure I am near to understand.
For the deform plugin it is a topic about an idea for this plug in

Ah, I remember that topic. It's a cool idea however it's not been implemented yet.

Another way of using SDS.

I think I am near the end but I always can't use SSB for the last two parts....
if someone can tell me what is the matter, where is the mistake...?

this plug in is crazy, that seems ideal for me!!!

Again, make sure to select allsurrounding edges to make a closed loop. In the model, on both sides, there are very little edge pieces at the ends and failing to select them for the SSB plugin will result an error message (I bet you kept receiving). Also make sure ti turn on hidden geometry to select those softened lines, too.
Other than this (probable) selection problem, I found nothing and could do the skinning fine. Note however that the top edge of your pool is not at the same height. This will cause problems when you want to fill it up with water.

ok i didn't know that we could have hidden edges, but for tiny bits, it is strange because I had green markers for placing my line that means that I am at an end point...
Good advices for me that mean that I need to be rigorous. So I m going to check all tiny bits
